Totally agree re Sports Tracker. It’s an awesome piece of software. They are releasing a new app called NokiaVine (I think, the names keeps changing) which turns it into a full “life-streaming” application, adding location info automatically to everything you do.

Its a great phone. Cant find a decent belt pouch anywhere that you dont have to take off and open up before you take a call. Also – no smiley faces for texting! Sports tracker is brilliant – i even use it on the motorbike!!

The new V30 firmware has just been released. So far all seems good (nice to have Nokia Maps 2.0 preinstalled) but I can’t get Truphone working. I hope Vodafone Ireland hasn’t suddenly decided to disable the VOIP stack.

my n95 8gb is a piece of snot i have had 3 of them they keep pooing themslfs now this 1 has locked me out of being able to navagate this phone is the bigest piece of shit i have ever had im gona smash it agenst the wall as it pisses me off i advise agancest getting 1 dont wast ya time just buy a nav man i think im gona go get 1 maby then i can get to where i wana go

I think so. I pressed play on the second slide today when the phone was on its default screen. The podcast I last listened to resumed playing where it left off, without switching to the music player screen.

@J Mccormick – Definitely get that looked at, the sound quality in calls is something I noticed immediately on upgrading from my 6120.

Sounds like you may have a bad un. Sound quality on mine is great and much better than N70

Nice review. I’ve switched from an 02 top up phone to a vodaphone contract in order to afford this phone. I’ve just bought a protective case on ebay so I don’t have to replace this phone for a while to come. I really like the phone, but the main issue I have is the buzzy sound in the earpiece. Is this just my phone, or is it a feature of the model?
