Walter Higgins is wondering who is heading to the d.Construct conference in Brighton and asked if I’d repost here to see if we have a decent contingent. I’ll be going as it sounds like last years event was a big success. They have an excellent lineup of speakers for this year.

To quote the site:

d.Construct is an affordable, one-day conference aimed at those building the latest generation of web-based applications. The event discusses how new technology is transforming the web from a document delivery system into an application platform.

Question Conor - is this a mostly techie event - cause if it is then I would be sitting there clueless. Like I was when Walter spoke in Cork!

Very much so I think. They mention mash-ups, API’s, tagging and Ajax!

I’m particularly looking forward to Jeremy Keith’s presentation. He has done some very interesting things in the area we are bootstrapping into right now.

Thanks Conor. They can mention each of those and I am fine. It’s the feckin explanation of how they are written that looses me ;-)

Just looked at Jeremy’s profile - so you are moving into the collectable bouzouki space eh?! We will have to ignore that in dbTwang then.

Shame - I loved the thought of visiting Brighton.
